Slay the PE Thermal & Fluids Systems Course
We have built a course for the Thermal and Fluid Systems Exam centered on our Study Guide, Practice Exam, and Online Diagnostic Exams. These online exams are realistic, timed, Computer Based Testing (CBT) exams covering all knowledge areas of the test.
You are a busy professional balancing your work life with life at home with family and friends. Most people can skip hours of lectures a week. We have found that most engineers only need a quick review of the theory and equations and then jump into solving problems. Our videos present a brief discussion of the concepts and relevant equations, laser-focused on what's essential for the test. Then we solve numerous examples not available anywhere else. We leave out the fluff and boring lectures, emphasizing complete comprehension of the fundamentals while being pragmatic and exam-oriented. In the videos, we solve easy problems at first to build confidence and to recall long-forgotten concepts and techniques, followed by a gradual progression toward exam-level questions. When you sign up, we will develop a schedule tailored to your personal and professional lives. Following the plan, you will have short, instructional videos to watch, and many problems to work on at your own pace each week. In addition, we will email you about twice a week with a reminder of the due dates for the assignments so you develop a sense of accountability and submit your work electronically to our cloud storage. This approach ensures you are making progress and assimilating the fundamentals. Customers in the course receive access to six CBT exams taken online: Thermodynamics Review and Fluid Mechanics Review Exams as well as Diagnostic Exams "A," "B," "C," and "D." These six CBT exams combine for a total of 86 questions not available anywhere else. You will also receive access to a video dissecting the NCEES Practice Exam. In this video, we examine and discuss the many flaws in some of their questions and clarify the more troubling ones. How it works:
FAQs:Q: Do I always need internet access to view the materials? I fly a lot for my job and can get work done while flying.
A: All our documents can be locally stored in up to two devices (computer, tablet, phone, etc.) and are accessible offline. These documents are encrypted PDFs only viewable with the free Javelin reader, available for download from Drumlin Security or the App Store or Play Store for mobile devices. The videos are not downloadable and do require internet access. Q: I will use my work computer for the course, but they do not let me install any software. Your files require this Javelin PDF reader. Can I get the files in regular, non-encrypted PDF? A: Restricting software in company machines is quite common (it's the rule rather than the exception), and most of our customers go through this. However, your company's IT people typically install anything you need in your machine if you make a case for it when you submit a ticket. Please tell them you need this software for professional development and send them the Javelin download link: https://www.drumlinsecurity.com/javelindownloads.php. Very rarely, they deny such requests, and if your employer is encouraging you to get a PE license and reimbursing your costs to prep, you have an even stronger case. Q: I had previously bought access to some of your products. Do I still have to pay the full course fee? A: Certainly not! We have upgrade options that allow you to pay the course fee minus whatever you paid for any of our products, no matter how long ago it was. So please let us know when you're ready to upgrade, and we will send you the appropriate link. Q: How do I submit the work assignments? A: For the problems in the book, you can take pictures of (or scan to PDF) your handwritten solutions and upload them to our cloud storage. Each study plan is fully customized, but typically you will have to submit work weekly. For the Online CBT exams, we receive all results automatically. Q: Your suggested study plan takes 18 weeks. I would like to take longer than that, but I would still like to get a pass guarantee. Can you do that? A: Absolutely, yes. Remember, our suggested study plan is more like a template that works well for most people. However, we can work with you and create a personalized plan so you can go slower with less work due every week than in the default plan. We can also insert "break" weeks whenever your personal/professional life needs them. We guarantee you will pass the exam if you stick to the schedule we define when you sign up and work consistently. Q: How do I get help if I become stuck and need help understanding the solution to a problem? A: Email us any questions or post your question in the private Slay the PE community forum, and you will get an answer in less than 24 hours. Q: Is it true that you give away a replica of the exam booklet and markers? A: Yes! Customers of the On-Demand course who reside in the United States get our replica of the exam "scratch pad" booklet and two markers shipped for free! These are great for practice and gaining familiarity with these tools before test day. Q: How much does it cost? Do you have any coupons? A: Everyone who completes the trial period gets a personalized coupon for $200 off the $1,350 course fee, so the cost is effectively just $1,150. You can use this coupon at checkout on our store page. Q: My employer isn't reimbursing my costs. Do you have a payment plan? Yes, of course. After the trial period, make an initial payment of $475 (it's actually $675, but you get a coupon for $200 for completing the trial) and then two monthly payments of $350 each. When you're ready, use this link to set up the installment plan. Q: Are there discounts for veterans or enlisted US Armed Forces members? A: Yes! Take the trial period, and if you decide to enroll, email us evidence of your veteran or enlisted status (e.g., a copy of your DD214 redacted to block out your SSN or your state driver's license if it indicates vet status). We will then issue you a coupon for $350 off the course fee. Alternatively, if you are in the Air Force, you can apply for the USAF to pay the course fee using the AFCOOL program. With this program, you will not incur out-of-pocket costs, and you do not have to wait to get reimbursed, as we get paid directly by the USAF. We're working on a similar arrangement for the Navy and the Army. Q: Are there bulk/corporate discounts? A: Certainly. Any company representative can pre-pay for 5+ licenses for $1080 each, or 10+ licenses for $945 each. Please fill out our contact form to let us know you're interested in the corporate discount for the on-demand course. You can also email us at customerservice@SlaythePE.com. Requirements for the Guarantee:If after completing the course and meeting these requirements you do not pass the test, we will renew your access to all materials for free, until you pass the exam. In order to qualify for the guarantee, you must:
